Microsoft Selects TenAsys as Embedded Partner of the Year.

Embedded Partner of the Year award winners are selected based on their proven track record of enabling customers to quickly deliver innovative Windows-powered solutions in their target markets.

San Diego, CA – June 30, 2004 – TenAsys is proud to announce their selection as Microsoft® Windows® Embedded Partner of the Year for 2004 in the Independent Software Vendor category at the 2004 Microsoft Windows Embedded Developers’ Conference in San Diego, California.

"Microsoft is excited to recognize the contributions of our embedded partners and their important role in the continued success of the Windows Embedded offerings," said Scott Horn, senior director of the Mobile and Embedded Devices Division at Microsoft. "Windows Embedded partners are an integral part of our business, enabling our mutual customers to identify high-quality solutions and services that our joint customers can take advantage of when building next-generation devices."

With over 20 years of industrial-hardened, real-time control deployments TenAsys software has a proven track record for helping OEMs deliver real-time reliability and determinism to x86-based PC hardware solutions. INtime, and the iRMX kernel on which is based, are used by OEMs to build tightly-coupled real-time Windows Powered devices that incorporate the rich solution environment of Windows XP Embedded, Windows 2000, and Windows NT Embedded 4.0 on desktop, server, and embedded x86-based PC hardware.

“We are pleased that Microsoft has given TenAsys this award in recognition of our continued efforts to support the use of Windows Embedded operating systems in real-time solutions,” said Rick Gerber, president of TenAsys. “Microsoft and TenAsys share a common vision of the enormous potential of real-time Windows platforms.”

About TenAsys and INtime

INtime Real Time Extensions for Windows is a fully featured RTOS derived from iRMX. Applications written for the INtime RTOS execute with guaranteed determinism as fully-protected user-mode processes in concurrence with the Microsoft Windows operating system on standard PC hardware. Because real-time application code executes in user-mode the INtime environment is immune to application faults that crash kernel-mode driver solutions.

Using the INtime real-time extension for Windows, designers can reduce the cost of implementing computer-based control systems by utilizing x86-based PC hardware and Microsoft Windows software. INtime software combines the benefits of the Windows operating system — standard APIs, networking, user interface, and development environment — with a proven, highly reliable, real-time kernel designed for critical applications.
